Paternoster Row, London. Original outline hand colouring. Fine condition. Straight from the atlas so has not been sold as a single map before.
Shows Hoarcross and Donnington Hunts plus parts of the Rufford and Mr. Lumley Hunts in Nottinghamshire

A well engraved detailed map of the county with title panel and compass rose combined. Scale. Imprint of John Cary dated 1793. With original page of descriptive text. 8 1/4 x 10 1/4 inches. Original outline hand colouring. Very light crease across the bottom left hand corner otherwise good condition. I have dated this map 1802 because the paper is watermarked 1802. The title page of the atlas is dated 1795.

A good detailed map of the county with publisher’s imprint dated 1805. 14 x 20 1/2 inches. Good clean condition with wide blank margins. Originally bound on edge so there is no centre fold but there is a light fold crease up the centre of the map. Later hand colouring.

AN ACCURATE MAP OF THE COUNTY OF DERBY DIVIDED INTO ITS HUNDREDS AND DRAWN FROM THE BEST AUTHORITIES....
A good large detailed engraved map of the county. The title is displayed within a large uncoloured pictorial cartouche. A second cartouche bears a dedication to The Most Noble William Cavendish Duke of Devon, surmounted by his coat of arms. The map shows the main roads and is surrounded by interesting engraved notes, very typical of Bowen’s style of presentation. Beneath the map are the names of the publishers of this edition of the atlas Sold by R. Sayer at the Golden Buck in Fleet Street and Carington Bowles in St. Pauls Church yard. 21 x 27 1/4 inches. Original early outine hand colouring. Small slit in the blank margin at one end of the original centre fold. At the other end of the centre fold a small repair to the blank margin. Otherwise nice clean condition.
