A bookseller and writer on heraldry as well as a publisher working in London. Best known to map collectors for his series of Victorian county maps. These are the last decorative engraved maps to be published as maps began to become more utilitarian
As well as county maps of England Thomas Moule also produced ta few plans of English cities. The ones of Cambridge and Oxford are each emblazoned with the arms of the colleges. Another is of Boston in Lincolnshre embellished with three views. There are also maps of the environs of Bath & Bristol, the environs of Plymouth and the environs of Portsmouth. A very attractive map of the environs of London but you may find this more difficult to find as it did not appear with the later issues of the maps.
