A miniature engraved of Caithness and the Orkney islands orientated with west at the top. Numbered 58. Printed not quite square with the paper. 4 3/4 x 3 1/4 inches. Uncoloured. Nice clean undamaged condition. English text on verso being the part of the description of Scotland. Ireland. With this map is the following page of double sided text that concludes the description of Scotland which does include three lines concerning the Orkney and Shetland Islands. Straight from the atlas and not previously sold as a single map. The title page of the atlas is dated 1627

An interesting engraved chart of the North Sea orienatated with west at the top. The coast is shown from Holy Island off the coast of Northumberland to Caithness as well as the Orkney Islands and the Shetland Islands. 21 1/2 x 17 inches. Uncoloured. Minor split at the bottom of the original centre fold re[aired. This could very easily be repaired as the binding strip is intact. From: The Coasting Pilot

Spanish text on verso. Fine clean crisp condition with full large blank margins.
