An attractive map of the Principality including Lyon engraved by Josua van den Endde. Two decorative cartouches and the royal arms. 18 x 14 inches, 460 x 350 mm. Dutch text on verso. Hand coloured. Fine condition.

A good detailed 18th century map of the region on two sheets. The upper sheet bears a title above the map and has a small inset map. The southernm sheet displays the large decorative uncoloured title cartouche with coat of arms and allegorical figures. Explanation and scales. 22 x 15 3/4 inches. Original outline and wash hand colouring. Both sheets on stout paper and in excellent condition.

An engraved map of the region around Bourg-en-Bresse extending to Lyonm in the south and Geneva in the east. A decorative cartouche with two female figures displays the title and scale. Latin text on verso. 20 3/4 x 15 3/4 inches. Early hand colouring. Small tear in bottom blank margin neart the centre fold, otherwise good condition.

Bourg-en-Bresse is a city and commune in eastern France, préfecture (capital) of the Ain département, and was capital of the former province of Bresse. It is located 36 m. N.N.E. of Lyon.

An engraved map embellished with a decorative uncoloured cartouche which displays the title, explanation and scales. A second title appears above the map. The town of Lyon appears on the right hand side of the map. The area covered extends westwards to include Clermont Ferrand. 21 1/2 x 17 inches. Original outline and wash hand colouring. Very light water stain to the two top blank margin corners. Otherwise the map is in nice clean condition.
