LE ROYAUME DE BOHEME DUCHE DE SILESIE, LES MARQUISAT DE MORAVIE DE LUSACE
A fine specimen of this engraved map which covers part of central Europe showing the former duchies of Bohemia, Silesia. Moravia and Lusatia. Extending to show the south west part of Poland and eastern part of Germany. The cartography is based on the work of the French cartographer Nicolas Sanson and the uncoloured title cartouche with putti bears the name of the later mapmaker and publisher Pieter Schenk. A further title appears above the map. Scales panel. 22 1/2 x 18 inches. Original outline and wash hand colouring. Original centre fold. Fine clean undamaged condition. This map has been taken sttraight from the atlas and not previously been offered for sale as a single map.
