A PLAN OF LONDON AND ITS ENVIRONS. A detailed plan of the city drawn by R. Creighton and engraved by J & C. Walker. The title appears cross the top with three coats of arms. The plan extends from Hyde Park in the west to Rotherhithe in the east. Islington in the north to The Oval in the south. Scale beneath with key to boundary lines. 19 3/4 x 15 1/4 inches. Uncoloured. This map is folded into the atlas and has escaped the damage often found with specimens of this map. Just a small nick on the edge of the left hand blank margin, otherwise good clean condition. Fold creases as issued. Straight from the atlas and not sold as a single map before now.

BISHOPGATE-STREET WARD TAKEN FROM THE LAST SURVEY AND CORRECTED. An interesting engraved map of the Bishopgate area of London. t shows the hole of Bishopgate Street which then extends into Gracechurch Street, showing the streets on each side. A useful key lists 71 buildings, steets and alleys. 7 x 12 inches. Uncoloured. Light stain in the top left hand corner and some light creasing in the bottom right hand corner blank margin. Other light soiling. Special Price.

Originally produced by Richard Blome in the late 17th century this map comes from John Stow’s Survey of London published in 1755. Blome’s name was erased from the cartouche for this edition.

An engraved plan showing part of the City of London from Houndsditch to Fenchurch Street including the old Leaden Hall Market and East India House, the site of the new Lloyd’s Building. The plan is embellished with rococo title cartouche, a vew of the front of Leaden Hall and the arms of John Porter Esquire. 14 x 9 inches. Uncoloured. No bottom blank margin.
