Over the past week I have added a series of maps from Cruchley's General Atlas published in 1848. Many of the maps have minor faults such as some browning or splits in the margins. What I do like about these maps though is their clarity. An effective design with good engraving. Regular customers might remember another series of these maps I started offering about two years ago. They came from a slightly later edition and instead of the cartouche at the top of the map they had a plume of feathers. They had similar dates at the foot of each map but were followed by the words Addition to 1854.
