England is shown divided into the seven Saxon kingdoms plus the kingdoms of the Welsh, Scots and Picts. Down the left hand side are seven panels illustrating the earliest kings. Henglist, Ella, Cherdik, Erkenwin, Ida, Uffa and Creda. Down the right hand side the seven panels illustrate the later kings and their conversion to christianity. Title cartouche, compass rose and scale cartouche. Panel displaying the publishers John Sudbury and George Humble. English text on verso. 20 x 15 inches. Hand coloured. Light toning to the paper all over. Narrow strengthening strip on verso of left hand side to repair two small nicks in the blank margin. Repair to a tiny hole in the top blank margin.
